For the Sambar
- 1 cup toor dal
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, drumstick)
- 2 tbsp Karnataka Temple Sambar
- Tamarind pulp (small lemon-sized)
- Salt to taste
For Tempering
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 dried red chillies
- Curry leaves
For Garnish
- Fresh coriander
- Optional drizzle of ghee
